about

A wild original song has appeared~~!!!! ^w^ Hello everyone, it’s Mizuka/Mia here again with another guest participation for KodamaSounds! I was quite nervous for this one because throughout all my years of making music, I’ve always struggled with making original songs long and actually…original…(lol). Even if I had made well over a dozen of them, it just became a habit of mine to make almost all my originals sound very similar to each other in terms of style, melodies and chord progressions. For this album, I tried to get out of my comfort zone a bit and make it my goal to finally compose an original song over 4 minutes long, since my previous longest original (“Dancing Demon Realm”) was just a little over 3 minutes long. However, because I hadn’t worked on music since the release of my latest album for the end of 2021, “Inferno de Invierno 2”, I decided to handicap myself a little. The song that ended up being composed was not only a composition; it was also an arrange of an original piano section that I made for the end of a long-forgotten Final Fantasy VI arrange in January 2019, “エドガーのテーマ -痛快YRmix-”. That arrange, although as of now it is still uploaded on my website as MP3, was by far one of my least favorite tracks I have ever created…(laughs ^^;). That is of course because of how unoriginal it was due to me heavily relying on copying my favorite doujin artist’s MIDI data from 2002 to make it sound like his arrange…(sigh...well, at least I’ve come a long way since then~;w;). But…this beautiful original piano section was just sitting there at the end of that terrible track…and I had to do something about that!! ( explosion ^^;). The melody and chord progression of that original section from long ago was reborn in this song, and I even ended it off with that very same section turned into an acoustic guitar solo! The rest of the song, admittedly, is pretty crazy…to say the least…(xD). I just hope it isn’t too over the top when mixed in with all the other chill songs on this album, which I am very thankful to have been able to participate in with many other talented artists! The name of this song has a hidden meaning and is up for interpretation, but I mainly chose it because I thought those 2 words together sounded cool ^^. I hope you enjoy this album in its entirety, and thank you for reading/listening! (✧ω✧)
