about

Hello~~!! ^w^ It's Mizuka here with my first submitted participation for Fivda's "Moonstruck Analogy: a TYPE-MOON tribute album"!! I want to thank you for listening, and I hope you enjoyed it~ (mostly...at least ^^;). I can't say that this is my absolute best work, as I'm not very used to working with anything other than Sound Canvas VA (*sigh*), but I wanted to pay homage to my old work from 2 years ago and celebrate the release of the new Tsukihime remake "A Piece of Blue Glass Moon" in the process!! This arrange of the main theme from the original December 2000 Tsukihime visual novel was made in late December 2019, and it was initially titled "Dimming Dawn", which apparently doesn't make any sense at all~ (lol). Starting in September of 2021, the arrange became completely overhauled with different guitars, drums, and synths, and I probably spent more time overall on the remake than on the original arrange, which only took around 5 and a half hours to make. I always associate the end of December with Tsukihime, as the original visual novel was released then in 2000, and I decided to arrange this theme during that time in 2019 as well. A special thanks for this would have to be given to Samidare of the doujin circle Piece of Rain, who arranged the similar theme "In the Moonlight" in 2004 for the Nijinonedo album "unlimited musical works - Owaranai Rakuen -", which inspired me to check out the rest of the Tsukihime soundtrack, and ultimately led to me discovering this wonderful composition by Keita Haga! I may have had a little too much fun in the middle with that guitar and drum freestyle~ (*laughs*)
