• About this track: Hiiiiiii~!! My nickname is Mizuka, or Mia for short, and I’m the sole arranger of my circle The Brightness of Twilight. Nice to meet you ^w^. Thank you for listening to my submission for “Gensokyo Party Vol. 2 VANTABLACK”! It’s been a very long time since I last participated in a Touhou themed collaboration album, so I’m very thankful that I was able to participate this time. For almost the past two years, I spent way too much time playing video games, and that really took away from my passion for music creation. However, when I met Fivda through VGMdb this summer, she invited me to participate in another album for Comiket 99, "Moonstruck Analogy: a TYPE-MOON tribute album", and I was again inspired to start making new music. As a result, I created my new circle and began working on new Touhou arrangements in October for my album “Incantation”, which was to warm me up for this end-of-year guest participation. “Eastern Ghostly Dream ~ Ancient Temple”, the stage 5 theme of PCB, was among the list of tracks that I wanted to arrange for that album, but didn’t end up making due to time constraints for an Autumn Reitaisai 8 release. I also thought about arranging “Flight of the Bamboo Cutter ~ Lunatic Princess” from Imperishable Night for this album, but after I saw Fivda’s submission was based on “Hiroari Shoots a Strange Bird ~ Till When?”, I thought that arranging the theme in the same stage would be more fitting! Immediately upon listening, I noticed that the theme was very similar to “Ancient Temple of the Netherworld”, which I had arranged around 2 and a half years ago. That arrangement that I made under a different name was titled “First Resonation”, so I decided to pay homage to it by titling this track “Second Resonation”!! I guess that makes it a sequel?? I’m not entirely sure, but I hope it’s at least as good~ (my mixing skills are still very much developing, especially after taking a long break from making music ^^;). Anyway, I hope your ears aren’t badly damaged like mine are after listening to my work (haha), and I hope you enjoy the rest of the album! Here’s to a much better 2022~:)
